FAQ

Once you have signed up to a course or group of courses, you will be able to log in and access your purchases. First, you will have a short information video to watch followed by a series of 10-20 questions which have multiple choice answers. (When you get an answer right you will see a happy dinosaur!) When you have answered all of the questions and you're happy with your answers simply click the submit button at the end and you will hopefully receive a message of congratulation and your certificate will be automatically emailed to you. If you have any incorrect answers you will have a message asking you to go back and check your answers.
Anyone and everyone Mad About Dinosaurs!
The course is suitable for children and adults from 6 years to 106 who are able to watch the lesson, read the questions and select answers. Whether you have been fascinated with dinosaurs for years or if you’re unravelling a new admiration, this course is a great way to learn about what makes a dinosaur different to other reptiles/animals and test your knowledge.
If you are a teacher/teaching assistant or group leader and would like the children you work with to access this course, please do get in touch via email. I have a special package to offer for groups of children. Please put ‘School Request/Group Request + your school’s/group name’ in the subject line.
E.g. School Request Bedwell Primary
E.g. Group Request Hitchin Scouts
Send me a brief email* explaining who you are and the age range of the children plus how many children are in your group. And we will start communications.
*Note: Please send emails from your school/group email address to [email protected]
Anyone fairly confident with reading English with a reading age of roughly 6 years old and over should be fine. However, it really is down to an individual’s ability.
Those who are less confident reading, may benefit from watching the lesson video and have someone else read the questions and answer options to them.
Yes. I have a whole back story for Dr George Manning, Ty and Oscar (and the others... spoiler alert – I know who’s sending the smoke signals). Plus, I have a story moving on beyond the point of the animation you’ve just watched on the home page.
As Mad About Dinosaurs Ltd grows and generates more income, the profits will be used to (1) develop the company as part of the vision I have, and (2) create further animations logging the prehistoric adventure with Dr Manning, Ty and Oscar.
Simple answer = Why not!
Dinosaurs, as a theme/topic is one that seizes the attention from all. Regardless, if you’re a toddler exploring, a child playing, a student learning or an adult at work. If you love dinosaurs, you’re not alone, the fascination is enjoyed by many, and rightly so.
They’re fascinating. There’s so much to learn about dinosaurs and discoveries are happening now more than ever before.
I personally chose dinosaurs as something to focus on because our grandson, (Ty), is totally barmy about anything prehistoric. This topic has become part of our life, (the whole family), for quite some time.
The information has been checked, double checked and checked again, and I believe it to be accurate. Information is gathered using several reputable sources, (museum visits, talks with Palaeontologists plus research via books/internet). If, however, you find that something is inaccurate, please contact me and I will investigate accordingly.
Go to purchase a course and simply redeem the gift voucher by entering the voucher number into the area provided.
If you have multiple gift vouchers to redeem, please do these one at a time. This is because each person (and therefore each gift voucher) will have their own login and access the lesson.
Sorry, gift vouchers are non-refundable. You can however pass the gift voucher on to someone else to use.
No. This short course is a fun way to test your knowledge of what a dinosaur is. The certificate is a real testament to your knowledge and something that you should be proud of because, remember that you need a 100% pass rate to receive it. But sadly, this is not a formally recognized qualification in the realm of academia. This course cannot be provided as evidence of formal qualifications when applying for college/university or employment, (unless you’re applying to work with Mad About Dinosaurs Ltd of course).
As soon as you have completed the test you will be given the option to choose which certificate design you would like. Once you have selected one, you will be able to type in your name. You will then be able to download and save your certificate straight away. You can either keep it on your computer or print it off to display.
As soon as you purchase a course you will complete login details (name & email) and enter a password. That gives you access to the course video and questions.
Do not worry. If you cannot complete the course straight away, you can come back to the site and simply log in where you will still have access to your course and test.
After you have watched Dr Manning’s classroom video, you will have questions to answer.
All of them…
If you answer a question incorrectly, then you will not be able to SUBMIT your answer and move on to the next question. You can rewatch the course video (or rewatch the section regarding that particular question) and select another answer before moving on.
Please send an email detailing any problems and I will aim to resolve these as quickly as possible.
